About Me
Ever since my years at St. Xavier's College as a Psychology Major, I knew I wanted to get into a career path that involved body-mind connection. This interest led me to study Transpersonal Counseling Psychology in San Francisco at the premier Institute of Transpersonal Psychology where I was trained in using various body oriented modalities such as Hakomi, Somatic Experiencing and Aikido as well as Systems theory, Psychosynthesis, Psychodrama, Creative Expression, and Process oriented Psychology. My holistic leanings - in which the body, mind, and spirit work together toward creating wholeness, has led me take up various related alternative healing processes over the years - Yoga and Bioenergetic Healing in particular.
In USA. I have worked as a Relief Counselor, Substitute teacher, Therapist Intern in California as well as a Case Manager with the Bureau of Milwaukee Child Welfare in Milwaukee.
In India, the bulk of my work experience included working as a Special Educator with S.P.J Sadhana School and as a School Counselor with The Cathedral & John Connon School.
This varied professional and personal experience has enabled me to work in a holistic manner with my clients in a client centered approach.
